Our taxi driver tried to speak English with Peter to find out where in the U.S. we lived. We gave him a Mackinac pen and he kept looking at it even after Chinese businessmen got in his cab and were ready to go. |

We were always offered bottled water, Sprite, Coke, tea, and beer (even the girls). Never ice, although we couldn't have it anyway since it was made from tap water.

Two weeks after we got back, Brita said that one "Mocktail" she ordered at a piano bar, was not "mock." She said the screen was all blurry when she was checking her email in the business center that night and she doesn't remember dinner at all! |
