Mark was quick to point out that these are coal plants, not nuclear cooling towers. These plants are extremely common.

A dozen men looking for work boarded our train and grabbed our luggage. Mark let them carry our luggage to the hotel and didn't pay until we received it all.

It amazed me to see men riding loose in the back of trucks going 70 mph in crazy traffic.

The nicest buildings were provincial headquarters and tax bureaus.

I don't know how this family was able to have three children given China's one child policy. They must be wealthy!

My favorite place in China...the Luoyang park!

Kaia, Peter and I walked to the park at 7:00 one morning. It was filled with hundreds of people exercising and enjoying themselves! This group was playing music.
