We visited the Peace Hotel, a hotel built in 1926 on the Bund. The gift shop specialized in "official" Beijing 2008 Olympic gear. (Noel Coward wrote "Private Lives" here.) It was the China headquarters for the empire of wealthy businessman, Victor Sassoon. |
